Kindness Initiative assists low income Jewish individuals and households connect with the services and supports they need to live with dignity. If you are or someone you know is experiencing challenges meeting basic needs and don’t know where to turn for help, we want to hear from you. A dedicated team of staff and volunteers will help you identify community programs for which you may qualify and help you navigate the systems so you can be served with dignity and kindness.

- San Diego county resident
- In need of services to meet basic needs and live with dignity
- Willingness to disclose confidential information
- Participation in developing a plan of action
- Commitment to follow-through and ongoing communication
Kindness Initiative Eligibility Guidelines
The guidelines below are based on 50% of the federally defined “Area Median Income” (AMI) for San Diego County. Please note that eligibility requirements for community programs vary based on age, income, residency, and other factors. Kindness Initiative will identify those programs that are most appropriate for your needs and circumstances and assist you, through our collaborations with an extensive network of service providers. Kindness Initiative business hours are Monday – Friday, 10A – 4P, however, we are always here to assist you in crisis.
