Naming a space at kindnessG’MACH is a powerful way to honor your family, celebrate meaningful milestones, or express your commitment to our Jewish community. Your gift becomes a lasting expression of acts of loving kindness that has transformative impact.
Every day, Jewish families and members in San Diego walk through the doors of kindnessG’MACH. A mother who needs clothing and shampoo. A family rebuilding after a health crisis. An elderly couple holding onto their dignity by the thinnest thread. They come to shop at no cost, in a space that says: you are seen, you are valued, you belong.
When you give to Kindness Initiative, you are not simply making a donation. As the only kindnessG’MACH in all of San Diego, we are an ecosystem where each act of loving kindness makes another possible. Real change happens when we take responsibility for one another and ensure no one faces hardship alone.
We are offering a rare and meaningful opportunity to name a section of kindnessG’MACH in your honor, or in memory of someone you love. Your name will be woven into a space where struggling families breathe easier every single day. Not a donor wall. Not a ceremony. A living legacy that is active, visible, and real.
Whether it is the women’s or baby section, the toiletries section, or the new boutique, your name will be attached to a place where Jewish families find real relief every single day.
Your name on the shelf where a father grabs toothpaste for his kids. On the rack where a member picks out a blazer for her job interview. In the corner where a grandmother finds the household items she needs to keep her home running with dignity.
You will not just see your impact. You will feel it every time someone walks out of those doors standing a little taller.
Naming opportunities at kindnessG’MACH are rare, meaningful, and built to last generations. Our doors are open five days a week. Your legacy will be open every single day with us.
Join the community showing up for its own.
**Five-year commitment
Each named space at kindnessG’MACH supports real people in real moments of need. From welcoming families at the door to providing essential goods with dignity, your investment helps build a legacy that ensures these sacred spaces remain fully funded and impactful year after year.
To name a dedicated space is an expression of leadership, of communal responsibility, of the kind of philanthropy that outlasts a single gift. Your name becomes associated with a place where lives are steadied, confidence is rebuilt, and personalized guidance helps families move toward lasting stability.
We invite you to put YOUR name where your heart is.
The Baby section offers clothing, blankets, and small essentials for infants and young children. Items are thoughtfully organized so parents can easily find what they need. This space helps support families welcoming a new baby with care and community support.
The Baby Furniture area provides nursery essentials such as cribs, bassinets, and changing tables. These items help families create safe and comfortable spaces for their children. Many pieces are also available to borrow for temporary needs.
The Boutique offers a curated collection of clothing, accessories, and specialty pieces donated by members of the Jewish community. Thoughtfully arranged displays invite shoppers to explore distinctive items in a warm and welcoming space. Proceeds help fund programs that support Jewish families throughout San Diego.
The Disability Section provides mobility aids such as scooters, wheelchairs, crutches, and canes. Many items can be borrowed during recovery from injury or surgery. This section helps community members maintain independence and navigate daily life with greater ease.
The Donation Center is where kindness first arrives. Members of the San Diego Jewish community bring clothing, household goods, and everyday essentials to share with neighbors in need. With enormous gratitude, we thank the incredible generosity of these visionary San Diego philanthropists who have put their names where their hearts are at kindnessG’MACH since our grand opening in January 2025. “The recent survey/study of the San Diego Jewish community made me aware of the number of our local Jewish population was suffering from financial insecurity. I have supported other organizations that have served the overall vulnerable population of San Diego, but now, I felt compelled to focus on the local Jewish population. In the past, I didn’t realize the need within our Jewish community and I feel now, more than ever, Jews need to support Jewish causes.”
“We believe it is the obligation of every member of the Jewish community to take care of Jews in need, and we are proud to do our part. Supporting the work of the kindnessG’MACH means helping bring stability to families in our community while ensuring that assistance is always given with dignity, compassion, and respect and without stigma.“
“Our family has always believed that books open worlds and spark imagination—which is why we sponsor this section at kindnessG’MACH. We know firsthand how a single book can change a person’s perspective and sense of possibility. Every Jewish community member deserves access to books and toys regardless of their circumstances, and having this library here means anyone who walks through these doors can experience the gift of literature.“

Through their generous support of the Children’s area, Sharon and David Wax help ensure that every child who walks through our doors feels seen, supported, and cared for. Their commitment reflects a deep belief that dignity begins at every age.

CalPrivate Bank’s sponsorship of the Social Hub creates a welcoming space where connection and community flourish. Their partnership demonstrates corporate leadership rooted in compassion and a shared responsibility to uplift those in need.

By dedicating the Case Management Office, Hilary and Selwyn Isakow have made a profound investment in access and dignity. Their generosity ensures that every individual who enters kindnessG’MACH is welcomed with warmth and supported with care.
