Crisis does not discriminate. It touches every corner of Jewish life in San Diego. Behind our mission are families facing sudden shifts: a spouse navigating a cancer diagnosis and mounting bills, or an older couple on a fixed income trying to remain safely in their home, or a single mom who lost her job and needs resume building and job coaching. We are here for those quietly holding everything together. We ensure that no one in our Jewish community faces their hardest moment alone.

The foundation of Kindness Initiative’s work is its customized concierge case management. You are assigned a dedicated case manager who listens to your story, meets you where you’re at, and works with you to create a plan that actually fits your life. Need help with budgeting and reducing costs? Finding a job? Securing stable housing? We don’t just tell you what to do; we sit with you and do it together.
Your case manager is there for every step: the calls, the applications, the tough moments, and the wins. We keep going until you feel stable and confident enough to keep moving forward on your own.
