The Kindness Initiative Confidentiality Policy for Volunteers, Consultants and Employees

Confidentiality Policy

Except as otherwise provided below, all information concerning clients, former clients, staff or volunteers of The Kindness Initiative, including but not limited to financial data, and business records, is confidential (“Confidential Information”). Confidential Information does not include information about The Kindness Initiative in general and your particular program or position such as policy statements or statistical material that is not identified with any specific individual or family. Confidential Information does include, and you are not permitted to disclose without advance written authorization, all client names and other personal information which could result in the disclosure of any client’s identity.

Immediately upon termination of your employment, independent contractor or volunteer relationship with The Kindness Project, you will turn over to The Kindness Initiative all documents, papers, and other materials that do or may contain Confidential Information.

You agree immediately to inform your supervisor of any violation (intentional or unintentional) of this Confidentiality Policy.

Failure to comply with this Confidentiality Policy may result in adverse legal consequences including but not limited to termination of employment or the independent contractor or volunteer relationship with The Kindness Project.
